Drishyam: The Conclusion, the third and final chapter in the Hindi Drishyam franchise, has a certified runtime of 150 minutes, or 2 hours and 30 minutes. The Central Board of Film Certification cleared the film with a U/A 16+ certificate and did not ask for a single cut or any audio or visual modification.

The censor certificate was issued to the makers on September 28, four days before the film’s theatrical release on October 2. The film is directed by Abhishek Pathak and produced by Panorama Studios and Star Studio18.

Runtime and Certification Details

At 150 minutes, Drishyam: The Conclusion is the second-longest film in the franchise. The original Drishyam, released in 2015, ran for 162 minutes. Drishyam 2, released in 2022, had a runtime of 142 minutes.

The CBFC granted the film a clean U/A 16+ certificate. Under this classification, viewers below the age of 16 may watch the film subject to parental or guardian guidance. The Examining Committee did not request the addition of an anti-drug ticker or any other mandatory modifications.

This marks the second film in the franchise to be passed with a U/A certificate and zero cuts, following Drishyam 2. The Australian Classification Board has listed the film with a duration of 148 minutes, though the Indian censor certificate confirms 150 minutes.

Cast and Story

Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar, the central character whose ability to stay ahead of investigators has driven the franchise. Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, and Mrunal Jadhav reprise their roles. Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj join the cast in key roles.

The story picks up directly where Drishyam 2 left off. Meera Deshmukh returns with new evidence and a desire for revenge, while a new Crime Branch officer enters the investigation. Vijay once again faces the challenge of protecting his family while staying ahead of the law.

Devgn said in an interview with Variety that the Hindi version takes a different approach from the Malayalam version. He said, ‘This is a completely different script altogether. There is no comparison. There is nothing. And in our film, we’re not leaving any loophole or anything. We are finishing it. This is the conclusion.’
