Lust Stories 3 Premieres September 18 on Netflix with New Cast and Directors

Netflix has announced that Lust Stories 3 will premiere globally on September 18, 2026. The third installment of the Emmy-nominated anthology franchise brings together four new directors and an ensemble cast of ten actors.

The film will feature four standalone short films directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra and Vishal Bhardwaj. Each director explores love, lust, relationships and repressed desire through a distinct perspective.

The ensemble cast includes Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari, Radhika Madan, Sana Thampi, Vijay Varma, Abhishek Banerjee, Siddharth, Ali Fazal and Gurfateh Pirzada.

Netflix announced the premiere date on September 5, 2026, along with a short teaser featuring several cast members. The teaser did not reveal character details or plotlines.

Segment Details and Director-Cast Pairings

Vikramaditya Motwane’s segment stars Radhika Apte, Konkona Sensharma, Vijay Varma and Abhishek Banerjee. Shakun Batra’s story features Ali Fazal and Radhikka Madan.

Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth headline Vishal Bhardwaj’s segment. Kiran Rao’s story features Gurfateh Pirzada and newcomer Sana Thampi.

The film is produced by RSVP and Flying Unicorn Entertainment. The writing team includes Kiran Rao, Tanaji Dasgupta, Avinash Sampath, Sumukhi Suresh, Shakun Batra, Sameeha Sabnis, Ashwathi Namboodiri, Nitesh Bhatia, Utkarshini Vashishtha and Vishal Bhardwaj.

Franchise History

The first Lust Stories premiered in 2018 with segments directed by Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Karan Johar. The film received an International Emmy nomination.

Lust Stories 2 followed in 2023, featuring directors R. Balki, Konkona Sen Sharma, Amit Ravindernath Sharma and Sujoy Ghosh. The second installment starred Mrunal Thakur, Kajol, Neena Gupta, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vijay Varma and Angad Bedi.

Radhika Apte previously appeared in the first Lust Stories. Vijay Varma starred in the second installment. Both actors return for the third chapter.

Lust Stories 3 will be available for streaming on Netflix starting September 18, 2026.
