Rashmika Mandanna has released the first teaser for her upcoming action film ‘Mysaa’, in which she plays a Gond tribal woman. The teaser, unveiled on Sunday, shows her character taking on brutal fight sequences and performing dangerous stunts.
The film is directed by debutant Rawindra Pulle and is set for a worldwide theatrical release on November 27, 2026. It will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
A Physically Demanding Role
In the teaser, Mandanna’s character says, ‘I am tired, I have stopped, I have lost.’ The visuals then show her wielding a sickle, breaking necks, and fighting underwater. She also rides a bike during an action sequence.
Mandanna underwent rigorous physical training for the role. She suffered a serious injury during filming when her hip tendon detached while shooting an intense dance sequence. She was advised to rest for six weeks and later underwent rehabilitation.
Speaking at the teaser launch event, Mandanna said, ‘This film is new territory to me. The first is always nervous. I have always wanted to try out something new every time. For Mysaa, I gave my life.’
She also recalled being asked to jump off the 90-foot Athirappally waterfalls. ‘The director asked me to do it just like that! I was shivering through the day, literally. He asked me to be underwater for eight hours. Tell me, am I a fish?’ she said.
Cast and Crew
Produced by Unformula Films, ‘Mysaa’ also stars Eshwari Rao, Guru Somasundaram, Rao Ramesh, Rahul Ravindran, Samuthirakani, Shiva Kandukuri, Karthik Ranjini, Tarak Ponnappa, and Nidhi Singh. The music is composed by Jakes Bejoy, with cinematography by Shreyaas K Krishna. International action choreographer Andy Long has handled the action sequences.
The film is described by the makers as a high-octane emotional action thriller set in the world of the Gond tribes.
