Muhfaad’s Udta Teer Lyrics Surface Amid Haiwaan and Udta Teer Film Clash

The lyrics of the Hindi rap song Udta Teer, written and performed by Muhfaad, have resurfaced online as two major Bollywood films with similar titles prepare for release. The song, originally released on 23 September 2019, is not part of the soundtrack for the upcoming film Haiwaan. A separate spy comedy also titled Udta Teer, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan, is set to hit theatres on 9 October 2026.

The song Udta Teer is a hard-hitting rap track that runs for 3 minutes and 21 seconds. It was released under the album also titled Udta Teer. The lyrics, written by Muhfaad, feature aggressive wordplay and confrontational themes directed at rivals in the music industry.

About the Artist

Muhfaad is a New Delhi-based rapper known for tracks such as Tempo, Pehli Fursat Me Nikal, and Saare Karo Dab with Raftaar. Udta Teer is among his notable releases from the late 2010s. The song has been described as a display of lyrical prowess and is often cited as one of his strongest solo tracks.

The Lyrics

The opening lines of the song set a combative tone. Muhfaad raps:

‘Likhta hu Kaise mal Sochte ye by god Shayad mill mere Khoon me Hal Syaahi Bhoot Ye Murde kya Chheenenge Zindagi meri Mal to stage pe Marunga beta shahi Maut!’

The chorus repeats a challenge to listeners:

‘Gaana ye jab bhi bajega, bajega na Koi bhi isse bachega na Maine phenka ye udta teer hai Bol tu lega kya, lega kya?’

Later verses continue with direct attacks on unnamed opponents. The lyrics include lines such as ‘Inhe kya hi sunau abe bhai chhod Meri galiyan mehangi inke kaano ki aukat nahi’ and ‘Main lyrically pyscho Kaise dun main ye mic chhod’.

The song closes with a declaration of independence from industry trends: ‘Main wo hu jo kisi ki nahi sunta Beta bhagwan ke aage insaan cheekh rahe saalo se’.

The Upcoming Film Udta Teer

A separate project bearing the same title, the spy comedy Udta Teer, is directed by Aakash Kaushik and produced by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana as Bilal, a Pakistani spy who loses his memory in India and begins to believe he is an Indian counter-terrorism officer.

The film’s trailer was released on 23 September 2026. It features Sara Ali Khan in the lead role alongside Khurrana. The cast also includes Gulshan Grover, Rahul Bose, Ram Kapoor, and the late Mukul Dev, who died in May 2025.

The music for the film is composed by Sachin-Jigar, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Independent rapper Emiway Bantai makes his Bollywood playback debut on a track in the film. The film was originally scheduled to release on 11 September 2026 but was moved to 9 October 2026.

The Film Haiwaan

The psychological thriller Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan, is also set for a 2026 release. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan and is an official Hindi adaptation of the 2016 Malayalam film Oppam. Its music is composed by Pritam, with lyrics by Javed Akhtar. The soundtrack includes four songs, none of which is titled Udta Teer.
